Around Banda Kaba, Melaka - 11 Oct 2014

Assalamualaikum wbr...

Yesterday, my handsome brother just arrived and he requested me to tour him around Melaka City. Well, because I'm quite good sister, so I asked him to make a decision where he wished to go and finally, he chose to go to this "Historical Area", The Stadhyus Melaka.

Oh my God, the most heavy traffic jam in Melaka is in this area. To disappoint him, I feel so bad, so by hook or by crook, I've to make it, and we decide it to get there early in the morning. Town citizen still in the house at 10.00 am right? So, we decide to get there by 10.00am.

For your information, this area especially on weekend will have heavy traffic jam, not only because of international tourist but also local tourist, and of course local peoples who come for shopping, relaxation and entertainment. Besides that this place is nearby Jonker Walk jalan Hang Jebat, so if you don't want to get yourself stacked in this jam, better avoid it. And one more thing is, at peak season, it will be very hard to get place to park your car.

So get there a little bit early, and then stay there for many hours as do you wish.

This is the Menara Taming Sari, operated almost everyday from 10.am - 11.00pm with RM20.00 admission fee for adult and RM10.00 for kids below 12-years old.

This is one of the main attraction in Melaka tourism.

So, we walked away leaving Menara Taming Sari, heading to The Stadhuys. On my right, there are a collection of army vehicle for display.

If not mistaken, this is one the museum available there in the area.

Then, we took our break at Medan Samudera. Here you can have variety of local cuisine at second floor. While on ground floor, there are a lot of souvenir that you can buy it for gift, from local foods, snacks, shirts, key chains and much much more.

This a replica of Kapal Portugis; Flor De La Mar.

Melaka River - the best way to explore Melaka River is by boat or as for me, I love to explore by walking as far as I can. Of course, a human energy have a limit, but as local people, it totally does not bother me at all.

By boat, a tourist can explore every inch of riverside by the eye, while for a pedestrian, I can enjoy any food that available there. Most famous food around here is Asam Pedas Kota Laksamana ( a fish with hot and spicy sour soup), variety of satay located at kampung Jawa, and nearby Stadhuys is variety of Cendol. If you want to have this cendol, you have no choice except queue up because, it is very crowded for high demand, since no competitors.

A famous historical area not only to local but also to foreigners.

At night starting from Friday till weekend, this road will closed due to Jonker Walk Hang Jebat.

I never being there because I know there will be bad traffic in the zone and nearby.

To find something rare or beyond your imagination, you should be there.
In front of Hard Rock Cafe Banda Hilir.
Mini Dutch.

Our luck, we got a seat to enjoy our cendol.. We have to finish it quickly for give other to have a seat also.

Fountain.
Youth Christ Church Melaka.
I love the landscape here.
From the middle of St Juan Hill.

A tomb.
Not so good quality of air due to haze.
Not such a replica.

This building is resembling of Melaka Sultanate Palace.

A place where independence of Malaysia (by the moment called Tanah Melayu) was declared and announced.
Wooden junk.
Fort A Farmosa.
Time for cooling down. Entered the mall, for window shopping, enjoy some ice cream and then, go home.
Deepavali is almost coming.
